Our history


Ocean Maxwell is a well-established and solid supplier of Specialists with experience from offshore field development projects. We were established in Sandefjord January 2011, by management with long experience in the consultancy business.

The first five years we opened offices in Singapore, Aberdeen and Bergen, and 2016 we opened our Stavanger office. We delivered consultants to more than 90 assignments to customers like Statoil, Lundin - Det Norske, ENI Norge, BP, Marathon, Wintershall, Centrica, Agility Group, Aker Solutions, AKOFS and Island Offshore. Approx. 30% of the contracts is related to international projects.

Our vision is to build and maintain a reputation as a responsible business partner and a preferred supplier to our clients, through demonstrating responsible policies.

Our core value is to CARE for our client’s results, our people, our society and our environment. Through our personal people management (Competence Assurance system) and our CARE-program (consultant support), we invest individuals and teams to achieve good results for our clients. We show responsibility as an organization for the impacts of our decisions and activities on society and the environment, through transparent and ethical behavior.

Ocean Maxwell milestone:

2015:Our revenue was 85 MNOK 85, and we were awarded as 5th best Gaselle company in Vestfold based on growth in revenue and positive results over the years from 2011 – 2014. We were awarded a framework agreement within D&W with ENI Norge, and our alliance partners to Ocean Maxwell were WellPartner, ServGroup and ProTeam. And in alliance with Omega, we were awarded Multidiscipline Framework Agreements with ConocoPhillips Norge and Talisman Norway - Ocean

Maxwell and ServGroup to cover D&W and Sub-surface disciplines. We had our first contract with Aker Solutions in Scotland and accredited as company following the Investors in People framework. Investors in People has set the standard for better people management – what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results.

2014: Our revenue was 104 MNOK and Elisabeth Zachariassen employed as Key Account Manager in Bergen, responsible for daily operations. Elisabeth Funnemark was employed as General Manager at the office in Sandefjord, and Cecilie Sælen covering the position as EVP Operations in the new-opened office in Bergen. This year we were approved as supplier to the UK O&G industry in Achilles FPAL.

Year 2013:Our revenue was 66,5 MNOK and Ocean Maxwell Pte Ltd was registered in January 2013, as our Singapore branch covering our operations in Asia. Elisabeth Funnemark was hired in as Financial Manager and Accountant and we were awarded a framework agreement within D&W with Statoil, and our alliance partners were WellPartner, ServGroup, ProTeam and North-QHSE Consultancy. We also started the proses of development of internal competence assurance system COMPAS,

Year 2012:Our revenue 42 was MNOK and we entered into framework agreements with Lundin, Wintershall and Aker Solutions. We were also awarded our first contract in Asia.

Year 2011:Cecilie Sælen established Ocean Maxwell January 2011. At the same time Mona Visted was employed as HR Manager following up on hiring processes and back-office support towards consultants and candidates, and coordinating contract processes towards customers. We had our first contract in March with BP Norge on the Skarv subsea field development and our revenue was 12 MNOK. Already in
February we were approved as supplier to the Norwegian O&G industry in Achilles JQS.
